Flush Floor Vents & Heat Registers

Integrate functionality with aesthetic appeal.

A standard register sits proud of the floor and announces itself in a colour that never quite matches. A flush vent sits level with the surrounding boards and carries the same grain, stain and finish, so the eye reads one continuous floor. In an open-plan main floor with six or seven registers in view at once, that difference is the difference between a finished room and an almost-finished one.

Flush Stair Nosing

Elevate your stairs with precision-crafted nosings.

The stair nose is the most punished piece of trim in the house and the most visible. Every step lands on it, and on an open staircase you see the full run of them from the room below. A stock nosing in a near-enough colour draws the eye to every single tread. One milled from your own flooring simply disappears into the staircase.

Flooring Reducers

Smooth transitions between varying floor heights.

Reducers are where renovations meet reality. New hardwood meets old tile, an engineered floor meets the original subfloor, a basement upgrade meets the stairs. Wherever two heights collide you need a graded slope between them — and a plastic strip in a colour approximating one of the two floors is exactly the detail that makes a good renovation look unfinished.

T-Moldings

Graceful connections between similar floor heights.

Floating floors have to be able to move. That means expansion gaps at doorways and across long runs, and something has to cover them. A T-molding is the piece that does it. Made from the same planks as the floor on either side, it reads as part of the floor rather than as a strip laid across it — which is the difference between a doorway you notice and one you don't.

How It Works

Four steps, and we do three of them.

Bring us your offcuts

Every piece we make starts with your flooring, so drop your leftover planks at the shop. Most jobs leave more than enough behind — just ask your installer not to bin them.

Give us the measurements

Duct opening, tread depth, doorway width, height difference. We'll tell you exactly what to measure for whichever piece you need, and we confirm before anything is cut.

We make it

Milled, assembled and finished in our northwest Calgary workshop to sit level with your floor and match its grain, stain and sheen.

Collect it, ready to fit

Collect it from the shop when it's ready. No sanding, no staining, no guesswork on site — your installer drops it in.
